Dark humor at its best! That is what describes Being Cyrus in one line. It is one of the most intelligent movies to come out of Bollywood in recent times and what’s more, director Homi Adjania uses his Panchghani bungalow to shoot most of the scenes for the movie. 

Now, something about the movie. The principle star cast includes Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Naseeruddin Shah, Boman Irani and Simone Singh in character driven roles. 

The story revolves around a Parsi family and how does the arrival of one man, Cyrus change their lives forever. Cyrus, brilliantly essayed by Saif Ali Khan, is an orphan who comes to Panchghani to learn pottery from Naseeruddin Shah who is a maestro of pottery. Dimple Kapadia plays wife of Naseeruddin shah who tries to attract Cyrus towards herself. Boman Irani plays Naseer's younger brother who lives in the city with his wife Simone. 

The end of the movie is sure to shock you as it has been brilliantly executed and is pretty much unexpected. It is a perfect thriller which keeps you thinking, right till the end. 

I personally think it is one of the best movies I have ever seen and if I say anything more, it will be like revealing the suspense of the movie. So next time you go to your neighborhood CD parlor and don’t know what to pick off the shelf, grab a cd/dvd of Being Cyrus and see for yourself.
